The Family branch of the French Social Security is committed to a user-centered approach. This commitment reflects the need to consult our publics and users (beneficiaries, partners, employees) in order to better understand their experiences, their aspirations and meet their needs by involving them in the design and development of programs and services. The goal is to do with the end-user and not only for the end-user.
Several methods can be leveraged for user consultation. Each consultation is part of an innovation-driven approach and can combine different methods to meet the needs and objectives expressed by the requesting business unit :
- In-person sessions across the territory with small groups of users to explore specific topics in depth and co-create solutions. 17 sessions where organized in 2024.
- Sessions in living labs, physical spaces dedicated to specific topics (youth, disabilities, parenthood…) and relying on a permanent user community and regular discussions. The Family branch has now 7 living labs on 5 different topics.
- Online consultation through La Caf à votre écoute, allowing users all over the country to share their experience and suggestions The consultations are designed to encourage free expression, creating a space where every voice can contribute to shaping public services. Also, the Family branch is committed to sharing the results of the consultations with all respondents, ensuring transparency. In 2024, 6 national consultations were launched. They attracted 9 285 respondents.
